The LSU Tigers are hot on the recruiting trails for their 2027 class and are clearly not shy about trying to get top players to flip to Baton Rouge.
Their pursuit of five-star Texas Longhorns wide receiver commit Easton Royal has been well-documented, and now they are trying to pry another top player away from a Texas school.
Per multiple reports and confirmation from his Instagram story, Texas Tech Red Raiders commit Jalen Brewster is going to be on the Tigers' campus this weekend for an official visit. He joins Easton Royal and a handful of other top commits that LSU will be hosting.
Landing Brewster to go along with all of the already elite young defensive linemen that the Tigers have would make for one of the best units in recent memory.
The Cedar Hill, Texas native is ranked as the No. 1 player in the country on the 247Sports composite industry list. There's not much more explanation as to why he would be a major player for LSU to land.
His father was a great college player for Ball State and then had a two-year career in the NFL with the Dallas Cowboys, as well as spending a season in the Arena Football League. Football in his blood and he certainly take's after his father's size.
Brewster has game-ready size at 6-foot-3, 302 pounds. To go along with that, he is a fantastic athlete who doesn't have a ton of holes in his game as a prospect. He has even been used as a short-yardage carrier in high school.
