Indiana football landed its fifth commitment in two weeks on Thursday, adding onto a position the program has prioritized heavily since Curt Cignetti’s arrival two offseasons seasons ago.
Myles Smith, a 4-star edge rusher in the class of 2027, announced his commitment to Indiana via social media yesterday afternoon. He chose the Hoosiers over offers from Missouri, Kentucky, Michigan and Oklahoma, per On3/Rivals recruiting and transfer portal reporter Hayes Fawcett.
Smith attends Farmington High School in Farmington, Michigan. He’s rated as a 4-star prospect by On3/Rivals, ranking in as the 11th highest-rated edge rusher and the 130th highest-rated prospect overall in the class. He’s rated as a 3-star prospect by 247Sports, ranking in as the 32nd highest-rated edge rusher in the class.
He previously went on an official visit to Bloomington earlier this month with an expert prediction from On3/Rivals national recruiting reporter Greg Smith linking him to Indiana earlier this week.
