Penn State football will have a completely overhauled roster to get to know in 2026 under new head coach Matt Campbell. Following one of the most active offseasons in recent memory for Penn State with a flurry of activity in the transfer portal, fans will have a lot of catching up to do in getting to know this year's Penn State roster. Recruiting Rankings
Class of 2023: Composite 4-star recruit, No. 20 offensive tackle per 247Sports
Chimdy Onoh was one of the top players available in the state of Maryland in the Class of 2023, which made him a prime recruiting target for Penn State under former head coach James Franklin and his staff. 247Sports ranked Onoh as the No. 4 player overall in Maryland. Penn State did not extend an offer to Onoh until mid-December 2022, within days of Maryland and Rutgers also extending offers. An official visit was lined up in January 2023 and was followed by official visits to Michigan State and Ole Miss before Onoh committed to the Nittany Lions on National Signing Day.
Career Stats
Chimndy Onoh appeared in 12 games for the Nittany Lions as a reserve option during the 2025 season. He made appearances in a combined total of seven games in his first two seasons with the program. He has yet to record a start for the Penn State offensive line heading into the 2026 season.
Depth Chart Overview
Despite his four-star potential coming out of high school, it is expected that Chimdy Onoh will continue to play a secondary role on the offensive line depth chart at the start of the 2026 season. The starting guard positions will likely be filled by Cooper Cousins, who returns this season, and Iowa State transfer Trevor Buhr.

Chimdy Onoh was a two-time Maryland state champion in shot put and discus in high school.
