Seven straight. The Michigan State football program has just lost the seventh straight game in the 2025 football season, falling to Penn State, 28-10. The Land Grant Trophy will be returning to Happy Valley, as the Spartans fail to capitalize on yet another winnable game.
The Spartans defense played well, keeping the team in the game about the best they could, until being worn down towards the end of the game. The offense did very little to help.
A bright side for the Spartans came by way of Elijah Tau-Tolliver, who ran the ball 6 times for 79 yards while adding 8 catches for 73 yards. In his second start at QB, Alessio Milivojevic was a gamer, taking a plethora of hits but still getting up off of the mat every time. He finished 17-for-27 with 128 yards.
Now, losing any chance to make a bowl game, the Spartans fall to 3-7 (0-7 B1G) and are desperate to just find a conference win in 2025. The status of Jonathan Smith's tenure is still unknown.
Michigan State will go on the road to face off with Iowa, in Iowa City, next week. The time is to be determined.
