Peach state prospect Jeremiah Culpepper announced over the weekend his commitment to Ole Miss football for the class of 2027.
This marked the third four star commitment for Pete Golding and his staff in one weekend causing Ole Miss to shoot up the national recruiting rankings to No. 15 overall per On3. It started the weekend just inside the top 25 before the addition of Culpepper, WR Miguel Whitley and DL Marvin Nguetsop in a very neat and tidy haul of blue chip prospects.
Culpepper comes from Troup County (GA) and chose the Rebels over offers from Tennessee, Alabama and Virginia Tech among many others. His 6’1” 205 lbs. build may be on the smaller side for a linebacker in the SEC, but his production on the field speaks for itself with 12 sacks last season in the very competitive state of Georgia.
The four star linebacker is the No. 18 ranked linebacker in the country, No. 20 overall prospect in his state and in the top 200 overall nationally per On3. Watching his highlights you can see he plays with the type of speed and violence needed at his position, and it will be worth watching this upcoming fall how he continues to develop.
There are now 12 commitments for the 2027 class with eight blue chip recruits in the mix. The class is shaping up nicely with plenty of work left to be done. Ole Miss remains in the hunt for three of the top five players in the Magnolia state not to mention the rest of the region. We’ll continue to update with any commitments for the class of 2027, cheers!
