As the football season inches closer, the dates of the College Football Playoff have been revealed. The rollout of the new schedule brings slight changes, including expanded ESPN coverage and the return of TNT Sports as a sub-license partner. The College Football Playoff will officially start with the first-round matchup on Friday, December 18th at 8 p.m. on ESPN, and continue with a tripleheader across ABC, ESPN, and TNT on Saturday, December 19th.

The playoffs then continue with the College Football Playoff quarterfinals, which will once again take place heading into the new year on Wednesday, December 30, and Friday, January 1st, and will be broadcast on ESPN and TNT. On January 14th, TNT Sports has the opportunity to broadcast the College Football Playoff semifinal, which will be held at the Capital One Orange Bowl. The season then culminates in the 2027 College Football Playoff and National Championship, presented by AT&T, on Monday, January 25.
