LSU football's 2027 recruiting class took a hit on Wednesday. Five-star defensive end Jaiden Bryant flipped his commitment from LSU to Miami, confirming the move after days of speculation. Bryant took a recent visit to Miami, where the Hurricanes managed to seal the deal.

Rivals Industry Rankings slot Bryant as the No. 29-ranked player in the class, No. 4 at his position, and No. 1 in the state of Louisiana. Bryant originally committed to LSU in early January thanks to his relationship with LSU defensive line coach Sterling Lucas.

With the addition of Bryant, Miami's recruiting class sits No. 3 nationally per the Rivals Industry Rankings. Mario Cristoabal and the Hurricanes are on a roll, now with 18 commits in the class.

Meanwhile, LSU's class fell to No. 26, a significant fall after LSU was knocking on the top-10. LSU remains with just four commitments. The Tigers still have a five-star in the fold with Ruston, LA tight-end Ahmad Hudson pledged to LSU. All four of LSU's current commits are blue-chip recruits, but they're all on the offensive side of the ball.

The loss of Bryant leaves LSU with a recruiting need at defensive end. LSU has already shifted its focus, locking in an official visit with blue-chip KJ Green.
