Miami flipped five-star defensive end Jaiden Bryant from LSU on Wednesday, delivering a blow to LSU football’s 2027 recruiting class. And with the move, LSU took a tumble in the recruiting rankings. Now, LSU’s 2027 class ranks No. 26 in the country, per Rivals Industry Rankings.
LSU is left with just four commits, though all are blue-chip recruits. LSU’s class score is 88.35 and the group ranks No. 10 in the SEC. With Bryant on board, LSU had one of the best classes in the conference.
Despite the recent fall, LSU is still expected to make significant recruiting waves this Summer. LSU remains in the mix for a handful of top prospects and it’s hard to imagine an LSU recruiting class ranking outside the top 15.
LSU’s top-ranked commit hasn’t changed. Five-star tight end Ahmad Hudson, out of Ruston, LA, remains the leader of the class. He’s joined by four-star QB Peyton Houston, and blue-chip wide receivers Braylon Calais and Ah’Mari Stevens.
In the coming months, as more key recruiting battles play out, we’ll get a better idea of what the final group will look like.
