Another Saturday in the books, another day where the Atlantic Coast Conference standings remain clustered.
The conference's Week 12 schedule began with No. 21 Louisville (No. 20 in CFP) seeing its College Football Playoff hopes take a significant hit with a 20-19 loss to Clemson on Friday, Nov. 14. The Cardinals missed an extra point and two field goals in their loss to the Tigers, who got both of their touchdown scores from running back Adam Randall.
Carson Beck and No. 16 Miami (No. 15 in CFP) defeated NC State 41-7, while Haynes King and No. 12 Georgia Tech (No. 16 in CFP) bounced back with a 36-34 come-from-behind win over Boston College following their first loss of the season before last week's bye week.
No. 23 Pitt (No. 22 in CFP) saw its five-game win streak since starting Mason Heintschel come to an end with a 37-15 loss to No. 9 Notre Dame (No. 9 in CFP). The Panthers' loss, of course, doesn't impact their path or chances at playing in the ACC championship game, as the Fighting Irish are not an ACC member for football.
Meanwhile, Bill Belichick and North Carolina dropped to 4-6 on the season with a 28-12 loss at Wake Forest.
Here's a look at how those games are reflected in the US LBM Coaches Poll and AP Top 25 rankings after Week 12:
