MSU football offers top 100, 4-star TE prospect from Iowa

Michigan State football is the latest on a long list of power four schools to offer a top 100 tight end prospect from Iowa.
Jevyn Severson of Madrid, Iowa announced on Sunday that he's picked up an offer from the Spartans. Severson made his offer from Michigan State known by posting on his social media X account.
Severson is listed as a four-star tight end prospect, with a recruiting rating of 96.88 in 247Sports' composite rating system. He ranks as the No. 3 tight end and No. 1 player from Iowa in 247Sports' rankings for the 2028 class. He is also listed as the No. 62 overall prospect in the class.
Michigan State joins a list of nearly 40 schools to extend an offer to Severson, according to 247Sports. Some of the more notable schools to offer Severson includes Arkansas, Auburn, BYU, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, Penn State, Purdue, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UCLA, Utah, Wisconsin, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, SMU and Northwestern.
