Predicting AP Top 25 college football poll entering Week 2 of 2026 season

Week 1 of the college football season is behind us, and we enter Week 2, which will have a few big matchups. There was just one ranked-on-ranked matchup this past week, which was a great game between Ole Miss and Louisville, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t good action.
Oregon found itself on the brink against Boise State, which will likely have the Ducks drop some spots from their No. 2 ranking. Then there was Michigan. The Wolverines almost lost to Western Michigan, but after one second was placed back on the clock, Bryce Underwood converted a Hail Mary to win the game, 13-12.
The Wolverines will drop several spots, and could drop out, but we have Michigan staying in. We have Louisville dropping out, since it was already ranked No. 23, and the Florida Gators coming into the AP Top 25.
The AP Top 25 will drop on Tuesday at 2 p.m. ET, and here is how it could look.
