June is turning into flip season for Georgia football recruiting.
Two days after adding an offensive line prospect who was committed elsewhere to the 2027 recruiting class, the Bulldogs on Monday gained the commitment of a wide receiver who had pledged to Penn State on May 1.
Jamir Dean, a four-star prospect from Alcoa, Tenn., re-posted the news on X that he had now committed to Georgia.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Dean is rated as the nation’s No. 257 overall prospect and No. 36 wide receiver by the 247Sports Composite.
Dean had 53 catches for 1,141 yards and 16 touchdowns last season for Alcoa High while also playing defensive back.
Dean anchored Alcoa’s 4X100 winning relay team in the state track meet on May 19 and finished in fourth place in the 100 and 200.
“I mean, with that speed and size, it’s only going to help on the field with those deep posts, those fades,” Alcoa track coach James Rainer told the Knoxville News-Sentinel. “He’s going to be hard to guard on the field.
Georgia flipped Florida four-star offensive line commitment Kennedee Jackson of Lithonia on Saturday from Florida.
Dean becomes Georgia’s 15th commitment and second wide receiver commitment, joining three-star prospect Taurean Rawlins from Atlanta.
