Three-star 2027 wide receiver Kobe Haynes has committed to TCU, becoming the program’s top-ranked recruit in the class. Haynes, who stars at Whitney High School in Texas, is a versatile player who racked up an amazing 3,552 all-purpose yards during his junior season. The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder threw for 1,474 yards and 15 touchdowns, rushed for 1,438 yards and 23 touchdowns on 180 attempts (7.99 yards per carry) and caught 40 passes for 680 yards and seven touchdowns as a receiver. Haynes chose TCU over Stanford, Baylor and more.
Haynes was named the District 5-3A MVP during his junior season, leading Whitney to a 10-3 record and a 5-0 district record. As a sophomore in 2024, Haynes totaled 80 receptions for 1,050 yards and 14 touchdowns. He becomes the highest-rated recruit in the 2027 class for the Horned Frogs, who hosted Haynes for an official visit in late May before he announced his commitment Monday. Haynes is the first wide receiver of the class.
