Four-star wide receiver Jamir Dean had flipped his commitment from the Penn State Nittany Lions to the Georgia Bulldogs. The talented route runner had been closely tied to the Bulldogs over the last few weeks leading up to his decision.
Standing at 6-foot-2, 175 pounds, Dean is a massive addition to the Dawgs’ 2027 recruitment class. The rising star originally committed to Penn State on May 1, but Dean’s official visit to Georgia on May 29 was enough for him to flip to UGA. Dean has become one of Georgia’s top overall recruits from the class of 2027 with his announcement, and the playmaker could emerge as a superstar at Georgia.
Dean is listed as the No. 18 wide receiver and the No. 126 overall player from the class of 2027, per the 247Sports Rankings. He is a superstar at Alcoa High School and Dean is ranked as the No. 5 player out of Tennessee. Dean’s decommitment and flip from Penn State to Georgia ultimately serves as one of the most crucial moments of the offseason for the Bulldogs, as coach Kirby Smart and his staff have landed an elite offensive weapon who will be at their full disposal in 2027.
Georgia currently has the fifth-best 2027 recruiting class in the SEC following Dean’s commitment. The Dawgs have the No. 12 ranked 2027 recruiting class in the nation.
