Elite DL recruit commits to Georgia football

Three-star defensive lineman Antwan McKoy has committed to the Georgia Bulldogs. McKoy is a massive lineman with elite athleticism considering his size, and the big man will now turn his attention towards becoming a difference maker on the Dawgs’ defensive line next season. 

Standing at 6-foot-3, 295 pounds, McKoy drew serious interest from many programs prior to announcing his Georgia commitment. The talented lineman could emerge as a regular contributor on Georgia’s defense in 2027, as McKoy has flashed some serious potential throughout his time at St. Pauls High School in St. Pauls, North Carolina. McKoy also participates in basketball and track and field for his high school. The big man took an official visit to Athens on May 29, and McKoy has announced his commitment to UGA just over three weeks later. 

McKoy is ranked as the No. 51 defensive lineman and the No. 451 overall player from the class of 2027, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. The St. Pauls star is ranked as the No. 13 overall player out of North Carolina. McKoy is an extremely promising player who could become a star at Georgia next year, as the Dawgs continue to add some of the top talent from the 2027 class. 

The Bulldogs recently flipped former Penn State wide receiver commit Jamir Dean to UGA. The Dawgs have landed a commitment from four-star offensive tackle Kennedee Jackson, who was originally committed to Florida prior to flipping to Georgia. 

Georgia now has 17 commitments in the class of 2027 and the No. 9 recruiting class nationally following McKoy’s commitment.
