Texas A&M’s 2027 recruiting class will continue to take center stage in College Station until the 2026 season officially begins in early September. So far, third-year coach Mike Elko and his staff have assembled one of the most talented classes in program history, which now includes five-star linebacker Kaden Henderson, who announced his commitment on Thursday afternoon.

Currently holding onto the No. 1 ranking across every recruiting database, the Aggies aren’t slowing down and are still predicted to land two five-star prospects, as wide receiver Eric McFarland and cornerback Joshua Dobson will announce their commitments over the next few weeks after taking their official visits over the last month.

After losing five-star cornerback John Meredith to Texas, landing Dobson has become extremely important, given that he and McFarland serve as the final pieces of the puzzle until the coaching staff shifts its collective focus to the 2026 campaign. While the Aggies have dominated the Florida recruiting landscape, Elko has landed four of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football’s top 10-ranked prospects out of the Lone Star State.

Starting with five-star IOL Kennedy Brown at No. 3, four-star safety JayQuan Snell (No. 6), four-star tackle Kaeden Scott (No. 8), and four-star edge Kaden McCarty (No. 10), Texas A&M’s future secondary, offensive line, and defensive line are all but set in stone, and as we all know, winning in the trenches provides longevity and the chance to focus more on landing offensive playmakers.
