Happy Fathers day to all the dads out there. The Huskies hosted their last spring/summer official visitors this weekend and let’s say the dinner bills may have been large. This weekend the Huskies had 3 of their top un-committed offensive line targets on campus plus a specialist from Arizona.

4 star offensive lineman Gecova Doyal from Puyallup HS, WA was on campus this weekend as the Huskies got the last visit to try and land the coveted the lineman. Doyal, who is listed at 6’3” and around 270 pounds can play multiple positions along the offensive line and is being courted by a large contingent of programs but it’s primarily a UW vs UO battle with the Huskies getting the last visit before he makes his decision. 247sports has him rated as the 33rd best interior offensive lineman while On3 has him rated as the 17th best interior offensive lineman. A decision is expected in the coming weeks and the Huskies would love to add Doyal to their 2027 offensive line class.

3 star versatile lineman DaJohn Yarborough from Basha HS, AZ was another top target on campus this weekend. The Huskies have been after Yarborough for a while and are battling Cal, FSU, and Mississippi State for a commitment from him. Listed at 6’3” and around 340 pounds Yarborough is a road grader who can play on the inside or slide out to right tackle if needed. I like where the Huskies stand but it sounds like he really like his FSU visit and they will be tough to beat. 247Sports has him rated as the 32nd bets interior offensive lineman while On3 has him rated as the 26th best at his position.

Rounding out the un-committed offensive line visitors was Tye Kennedy from Mountain View HS, AZ. Rated as a 3 star offensive tackle, Kennedy is an intriguing prospect whose best football is still in front of him. With elite genes, his dad is former Husky great Lincoln Kennedy, Tye has a good frame (6’6” and around 275 pounds) and projects to play tackle in college. 247Sports has him rated as the 49th best tackle while On3 has him rated as the 50th. I like where the Huskies stand with Kennedy but they are battling Utah, Stanford, and Michigan in their efforts to land him. A decision is expected soon and we should find out where the Huskies stand with him.

Punter Nolan Balke from Casteel HS, AZ was also on campus for an official visit as the Huskies look to add a punter in the 2027 class. Balke has an offer from Arizona as well and it looks like he will have to choose between UW and Arizona.

The Huskies also had 3 committed prospects on campus this weekend to help recruit the un-committed players. The ring-leader on campus to help recruit his potential future line-mates was 3 star offensive lineman Reis Russell from Valor Chrisitan HS, CO. Russell was a massive pull for the Huskies and is heavily involved in trying to help the Huskies land Doyal, Yarborough, and Kennedy. Also on campus was 4 star wide receiver Tre Moore from Pflugerville Weiss HS, TX. Moore was another massive pull for the Huskies and projects as a #1 wideout in college. Rounding out the committed prospects was 3 star defensive back Maurice Williams from Graham Kapowsin HS, WA. Williams is a versatile defensive back who can play safety or college once he gets to Montlake.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we heard some news in the next couple of days on some of the visitors as the Huskies look to put the finishing touches for now on their 2027 class. That is all for today and as always you can follow me @asieverkropp for recruiting news.
