The recruiting dead period is officially here, but the FSU coaching staff made sure they got one last chance to interact with recruits over the weekend, hosting their second Seminole Showcase camp. One of the players in attendance was Princeton Umanmielen, an unranked 2027 edge prospect from Manor, Texas.

Umanmielen stood out at the camp and was extended a scholarship offer from FSU edge coach Nick Williams. The Seminoles are the fourth school to offer him a scholarship, joining the Ole Miss Rebels, UTSA Roadrunners, and Texas State Bobcats.

It was his second time visiting Tallahassee after he was on campus for an unofficial visit in April, giving him a chance to watch a spring practice. He is the younger brother of Princely and Princewill Umanmielen. Princely played for the Florida Gators and Ole Miss Rebels before being taken in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers. Princewill played for Tony White at Nebraska before transferring to Ole Miss and then LSU.

At 6-foot-2 and 195 pounds, he has the potential to become a jack in FSU's defensive scheme, if he can continue to bulk up. Now that he has a scholarship offer, the Seminoles will need to get him back on campus for an official visit during the season if they decide to push for him.
