4-Star Florida Safety Andre Jones commits to Notre Dame Football

It must’ve been a GREAT Father’s Day for former Notre Dame running back, Julius Jones. On Monday, his 4-Star WR son Julius Jones Jr. committed to Notre Dame’s 2027 football recruiting class, and then shortly thereafter, his 4-Star Safety son Andre Jones committed to Notre Dame’s 2028 football recruiting class.
Talk about keeping up with the Jones’s (elite dad joke).
Andre chose the Irish over an impressive early offer list that included the Florida State Seminoles, Oregon Ducks, Penn State Nittany Lions and more.
Andre Jones was the top cornerback during 1-on-1’s at Rivals Camp Miami. The rising junior showed advanced coverage skills and was able to stay in-phase with receivers. He made an impressive pass breakup during red zone 1-on-1’s, showing a quick break on the ball. The 2028 prospect looks to have good size along with positional versatility, with the capability of lining up at multiple spots in the secondary.
Notre Dame continually has one of the better defensive backfield’s in the country, and the addition of Andre Jones should likely ensure that to be the case in the upcoming years.
