This is part of a continuing summer series with The Arizona Republic previewing the 2026 high school football season. We have been ranking the top 10 players at each position: Quarterback, running back, wide receiver, athlete (two-way players) and dynamic duos.
Now, we turn to the guys up front who dictate the offense. They’re the offensive linemen. Arizona has a great supply of big guys in the trenches. Vote in our poll below for the player you think is No. 1 for 2026. Print readers can find the poll online at azcentral.com/sports/high-schools.
The Republic’s Top 10 offensive linemen
1. Jake Hildebrand, Chandler Basha, 6-6, 280, Sr.
This Arizona State football commit has been a fixture on the varsity offensive line at Basha since his freshman year. He’s a true left tackle who has improved greatly every year, making him the top in-state prospect that coach Kenny Dillingham has landed since leading the ASU football program.
2. Dajohn Yarborough, Basha, 6-5, 330, Sr.
When he moved in last summer from the Midwest, he was a game-changer for the Bears. Although his season got cut short before the playoffs, he’s going to help anchor arguably the best offensive line in the state. Athletic for his size, he’s powerful and practically unmovable.
3. Benjamin Lowther, Peoria Centennial, 6-8, 320, Sr.
He committed in April to Stanford. He’s big, powerful, strong, and has all the tools to someday play on Sundays. The Coyotes’ offensive attack will be led by Lowther’s blocks.
4. Tye Kennedy, Mesa Mountain View, 6-6, 280, Sr.
He’s learned from one of the all-time best — his dad, former NFL offensive lineman Lincoln Kennedy. Tye is very agile with the versatility to pass protect and pave big holes for the run game. His quick feet make it hard for edge rushers to get around him.
5. Richie Dexter, Chandler Hamilton, 6-7, 303, Sr.
He started his high school career as a tight end but grew into an athletic offensive tackle. He committed to Kansas on June 2. Anchors a big and agile offensive line for the Huskies.
6. Liam McNeal, Horizon, 6-7, 260, Jr.
One of the best up-and-coming offensive linemen in the state. He’s made huge strides in his development and physical growth since his sophomore year. Horizon’s offense goes as long as McNeal is on the field, plowing holes.
7. Karmello Calloway, Centennial, 6-6, 320, Jr.
His recruiting blew up in the spring and into the first part of the summer. He’s only getting better. Has all the tools to be an elite offensive tackle on Saturdays. Watch for a huge season for Calloway.
8. Yuen Taufete’e, Phoenix Brophy Prep, 6-4, 306, So.
His recruiting ramped way up in the spring after major college coaches got a close look at him. He’s world-class in martial arts and is still developing into an outstanding offensive lineman after only beginning to play football his freshman year.
9. Colin Itule, Brophy Prep, 6-5, 270, So.
Like Taufete’e, his recruiting blew up in May. He also started on the Brophy varsity offensive line as a freshman. He’s already one of the top offensive linemen in the state with his name on the national recruiting radar.
10. Sire Stewart, Chandler, 6-5, 260, Sr.
Great leader on and off the field, he helped pave the way for the Wolves’ run to the Open Division state final last season. He’s gotten stronger with great feet and a long reach. Strong hands. Tough to beat on the edge. He has committed to Utah.
