Ben Hill Griffin Stadium came in at No. 7 on EA Sports’ list of toughest places to play in College Football 27. The Gators‘ home venue moved up three spots from its No. 10 ranking in the video game’s previous edition.

Ranked ahead of the Swamp came six of the sport’s most intimidating grounds: Tiger Stadium (LSU), Beaver Stadium (Penn State), Ohio Stadium (Ohio State), Sanford Stadium (Georgia), Bryant-Denny Stadium (Alabama), and Autzen Stadium (Oregon).

The SEC saw 11 sites land on EA’s list, two of which Florida will play road games at next season. First-year head coach Jon Sumrall will take his team to No. 13 Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium (Texas) in week 7 and to No. 14 Jordan-Hare Stadium (Auburn) in week 3. The Gators welcome Ole Miss, South Carolina and Oklahoma to Gainesville in the most pivotal conference fixtures of the season.

Athletic Director Scott Stricklin suggests UF’s upcoming $1.45 billion renovation will help enhance the Gators’ home-field advantage even more. The imminent enhancements to Ben Hill Griffin could push the Gators’ home field into the top five and beyond.
