Nebraska football made the final five for 2027 five-star offensive lineman Albert Simien. LSU, Notre Dame,Ole Miss, and Texas A&M are the other finalists. He is set to commit this Friday, June 26.
Simien is the 19th overall prospect and second overall interior offensive lineman in 2027, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings. He is also ranked highly in Louisiana as the third-overall player in the class. He measures six-foot-three and 295 pounds.
He is being recruited to Nebraska by offensive line coach Geep Wade. The five-star prospect has been to Lincoln five times, with the most recent visit being on June 5 for an official visit.
Currently, the Huskers' 2027 recruiting class ranks 18th overall nationally with 22 commitments. This includes seven blue-chip commitments. The offensive lineman would give the program another one in that regard and their sixth offensive line commitment in the class.
This commitment may be viewed as a bit of a long shot. Texas A&M is leading according to the Recruiting Prediction Machine. Nevertheless, it will be hard to count out the Huskers with Wade as a recruiter.
