The start of the 2026 college football season is drawing closer. And with it, that means the release of EA Sports College Football 27 (featuring USC quarterback Jayden Maiava on the cover) is just around the corner.
This week, EA Sports announced the 25 toughest stadiums to play at in the game. Notably, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, home of the USC Trojans, did not make the list.
USC will play road games at three stadiums in the top 20 this fall: No. 3 Penn State and No. 17 Indiana. The Trojans will also face Ohio State, Oregon and Washington, all of whom have stadiums in the top 15, but will get to play those games at home.
Another notable development from this list: Excluding a 2020 victory at Utah with no fans in the stadium, USC is 0-14 in road games at the top 25 stadiums since 2017. This fall, the Trojans will look to finally win a big road game or two, while also establishing a home field advantage worthy of moving the Coliseum into the top 15 itself.
If USC fans are upset by the rankings, the good news is that there is a very easy way to change them: Show up to the games, arrive early, stay late, be loud, and make the Coliseum a miserable place for opponents to play like it was back in the day.
College Football 27 is set to be released in early July.
