LSU football built momentum on the recruiting trail over the last month. 10 of its 14 players committed in June, bumping the class up to be among the best in the country. But there is still work left for head coach Lane Kiffin and staff.

The Tigers' 2027 class ranks No. 12 nationally and No. 6 in the SEC, according to Rivals' Industry Rankings. Auburn jumped ahead, getting up to No. 11 with the commitment of four-star edge Marquis Evans on Wednesday. Texas moved closer to cracking the top five, getting pledges from four four-stars over the last week to solidify its No. 6 overall spot.

Decisions loom for five-stars Jalen Brewster and Easton Royal, both of whom rank No. 1 at their positions and are committed elsewhere. The Tigers made both a priority over the last several months and stepped up the pressure lately. If either or both flip to LSU, the class would instantly contend for No. 1 in the country.

Tight end Ahmad Hudson headlines LSU's 2027 class as the line five-star commitment. The purple and gold hold commitments from four of the top 10 players out of Louisiana.
