OXFORD ― Ole Miss football coach Lane Kiffin‘s family is in the news around the Florida and LSU coaching rumors.
Kiffin has been tied to the LSU and Florida jobs since their coaches were fired in the last month.
Members of Kiffin’s family visited Gainesville, Florida, Nov. 16, according to On3 and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Nov. 17, according to the Advocate.
The members of Kiffin’s family who made the visits to the towns where Florida and LSU are were not identified.
No. 6 Ole Miss (10-1, 6-1 SEC) is off this week before its final regular-season game vs Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl on Black Friday (11 a.m., ABC). The Rebels are in good position to make the College Football Playoff for the first time.
Kiffin’s family was a major theme in a recent E60 documentary about Kiffin. He has been open about how slowing his life down since moving to Oxford in 2020 has helped him become a better father.
Kiffin has three children with his ex-wife Layla.
Layla Kiffin is Lane Kiffin’s ex-wife
Lane and Layla Kiffin were married in 2004. They divorced in 2016, but Kiffin has been open about his process of restoring the marriage. Layla recently moved to Oxford and has been attending the Oxford High School football games where son Knox is a sophomore quarterback.
Landry Kiffin is Lane Kiffin’s oldest daughter
Kiffin’s oldest daughter, Landry, is a student at Ole Miss.
Landry has been a fixture at Ole Miss football games supporting her dad. She recently made headlines for dating LSU linebacker Whit Weeks. She said in the documentary that she helped convince Kiffin to turn down an offer to coach at Auburn.
Presley Kiffin is Lane Kiffin’s middle child
Lane Kiffin’s middle daughter Presley is a freshman outside hitter on the Southern Cal indoor volleyball team.
Knox Kiffin is Lane Kiffin’s youngest child
Kiffin’s youngest child his his son, Knox, who is a quarterback at Oxford High School. Knox is a class of 2028 football recruit.
Knox Kiffin took over as Oxford’s quarterback after the starter was injured a month ago and has led the Chargers into the second round of the playoffs.
Lane Kiffin’s brother, Chris, father, Monte
Monte Kiffin died in 2024 at age 84. The former college football and NFL coach was a major inspiration for Kiffin. He was on staff under his son at Ole Miss as an analyst. Monte coached in the NFL and won a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the defensive coordinator.
Chris is the linebackers coach at Ole Miss. He has also coached in the NFL with San Francisco 49ers, Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans.
