2028 Pennsylvania defensive end names Tennessee in top six schools

Tennessee is recruiting toward its 2028 football signing class.

Four-star defensive end George Parkinson IV named Tennessee in his top six schools, along with Penn State, Texas A&M, Oregon, Ohio State and LSU, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3.

The 6-foot-4, 235-pound prospect is from Malvern Preparatory School in Malvern, Pennsylvania. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 15 defensive end in the class and No. 2 player in Pennsylvania.

Tennessee offered Parkinson IV a scholarship on Feb. 19. He visited the Vols for a spring practice on March 20.

Maryland was the first school to offer Parkinson IV a scholarship on Nov. 16, 2024. Other schools to offer him scholarships include Syracuse, Nebraska, Kentucky, Duke, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, Florida State, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Michigan, Wake Forest, West Virginia, Georgia Tech, Wisconsin, Boston College and Washington.

Tennessee does not have any commitments in its 2028 recruiting class. The Vols have 16 commitments in their 2027 football recruiting class: linebacker JP Peace, offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, quarterback Derrick Baker, athlete Jaden Butler, wide receiver KeSean Bowman, defensive back Carter Jamison and defensive back Brandon Leavell, tight end Malik Howard, defensive lineman Christian Mays, cornerback Dylan Haley, linebacker Kenneth Simon II, kicker Ford Fehling, long snapper Sam McKeown, offensive tackle Q’Mari Hudson, athlete Dayon Cooper, and safety Marcus Jones.
