It is early, but the FSU Seminoles are involved with some of the top 2028 quarterbacks in the country, and some even believe they are the favorite for Chandler Dyson, a four-star prospect from Georgia.
An under-the-radar player they are involved with is Hudson West, an unranked prospect from Sarasota, Florida, whose recruitment has picked up over the past few months. The Seminoles offered him a scholarship in April and hosted him at a camp in June.
They were among the first power schools to offer him, with the Florida Gators, Maryland Terrapins, Colorado Buffaloes, and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets following. While he is unranked, he is one of just 20 quarterbacks that the Seminoles have offered, showing how interested they are.
The Seminoles are among the schools that impressed him on his visits, he told Zach Blostein of 247Sports. He also expressed his confidence in Mike Norvell getting FSU turned around.
“Same with Florida State — I think they can turn it around,” he said. “When I went up and talked to Coach Norvell, he had a very interesting pitch. It’s going to be interesting to see how the season goes, but I really do think they can turn it around as well.
West had a strong sophomore season at Sarasota High School, his first season as their starter. He completed 55.1% of his passes for 2,836 yards, 26 touchdowns, and five interceptions. He also ran for 121 yards on 13 carries, averaging 9.3 yards per carry.
