Notre Dame continues in their pursuit for one of the most promising two-way athletes in the 2028 recruiting cycle.
King Pitts is a 6-foot, 4-inch and 270-pound athlete from Kapa's High School in Hawaii. He is currently ranked as the No. 240 athlete in his class according to the 247Sports Composite. Depending on where he ends up will probably decide whether he ends up on the offensive line or the defensive line but based on his athletic traits alone, he looks to be able to succeed at the next level.
Pitts already holds offers from several power four programs such as Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, among many others. Having this sort of offer list, especially this early in the recruiting process shows that Pitts will most likely end up one of the most coveted players in the class.
Pitts has been open about his affinity for Notre Dame via 247Sports (subscription required) saying the school "has stood out to me since I was a kid," in large part because his dad seemed to really enjoy the gold helmets that the Irish are known for. It's that childhood pull that makes Notre Dame stand out even in a crowded offer list.
Notre Dame is an appealing option for 2028 two-way standout King Pitts, who has offers from just about every top program in America.

Pitts recently talked specifically about Notre Dame, saying he is looking for a school that will "develop me and pour into me, so I can be the best player I can be."
For now, it does not appear Pitts has set a deadline for a decision. That will give programs, Notre Dame included, time to work on building trust, push for a crucial visit, and try to learn a lifelong admiration into an eventual commitment.
