The Wisconsin Badgers kicked off their 2028 class with the commitment of four-star linebacker Cale Britt, who announced his decision last week.

Wisconsin had been trending for a while for the Florida native, who had one of the most extensive offer lists in the country with 35 offers. Some of those schools included Michigan, Alabama, Florida, Miami, Tennessee, Penn State, and Notre Dame, among others.

The Badgers offered the four-star back in April and were one of the early teams in on his recruitment after a sophomore season where he had 118 tackles and three sacks for Bishop Moore Catholic.

Now, Wisconsin could be on the verge of its second commitment in the 2028 class, as 247Sports’s Nick Osen has placed a crystal ball for them to land offensive lineman Brock Barrows.

Barrows has racked up offers from Arkansas, Iowa State, Minnesota, Purdue, Tennessee, Northwestern, and Wisconsin so far. He’s currently unranked by both 247Sports and ESPN, while being listed as a three-star recruit on Rivals.

At 6’2, 280 pounds, Barrows currently projects as an interior offensive lineman and could be the first get for Eric Mateos in the 2028 class.

In his first cycle with the Badgers, Mateos landed a solid group of linemen, all hailing from the state: four-star Cole Reiter, four-star Hunter Mallinger, three-star Ethan McIntosh, three-star Reece Mallinger, and three-star Jack Tabbert.

We’ll see how many Wisconsin aims for in 2028, but they seem to be off to a good start with Barrows.
