FSU's recruiting class ranking after Meshi Dobson's commitment

The Florida State Seminoles have once again moved up in the recruiting rankings after receiving a commitment from edge rusher Meshi Dobson.
FSU beat out the Miami Hurricanes and Syracuse Orange for Dobson, who is from Fort Lauderdale. He was a member of the 2028 recruiting class, but has reclassified and joined the 2027 cycle. The 6-foot-3, 235-pounder is their fifth commitment along the defensive line.
He was a four-star prospect, but is now a three-star after reclassifying. He is ranked as the No. 655 overall player and No. 55 edge in the 247Sports composite. He is also the No. 54 player from Florida.
Dobson had a monster sophomore season at Plantation High School, where he played with FSU safety commit Jemari Foreman. In eight games, he recorded 72 tackles, 31.0 tackles for loss, 14.0 sacks, one pass breakup, and one fumble recovery.
The Seminoles now have 17 total commitments and the 35th-best recruiting class in the country according to the 247Sports team rankings. Here is how FSU's recruiting class compares to the rest of the ACC.
