The 2026 football season for the Auburn Tigers is on the horizon. As we anticipate the start of the season, let's introduce you to a key member of the 2026 roster.
Loyalty is one word that defines Auburn sophomore defensive tackle Malik Autry. Autry, a native of Opelika and graduate of Opelika High School, committed to Auburn in early 2023 and remained loyal to the program despite a strong push from SEC rival Florida and national power Ohio State, as well as a head coaching change.
Autry got his feet wet as a true freshman last season by appearing in nine games, making eight tackles and participating in 86 snaps. The game where he saw the most action last season was his best game in the stat sheet. He appeared in a season-high 28 snaps against Mercer last November and recorded three tackles in the massive win over the Bears.
This year, Autry aims to earn more snaps and prove why he was considered one of the best defensive linemen in the 2024 recruiting cycle.
