The LSU Tigers football season is inching closer, now down to double digits on the countdown clock. Kickoff against the Clemson Tigers is now just 32 days away.

As we continue to look back at the history of the Bayou Bandits to celebrate and prepare heading into the first game, there is also the matter of getting to know the current-day players.

Here is a look at the past and present of No. 32 at LSU:

No. 32 – LB Keylan Moses

Moses is a fantastic athlete who has been on campus for years already, attending University Lab in high school. He did what everyone wanted his brother, Dylan, to do back in 2017: stay in Baton Rouge. Dylan went on to star for the Alabama Crimson Tide and had a cup of coffee in the NFL.

As for Keylan, he was a four-star recruit in his own right and chose the Tigers. He was also a track star, showcasing the explosiveness that makes him exciting as a linebacker. He has the makeup to fly around the field as a versatile weapon, and he has the makeup of a great coverage player.

He made his debut in the Texas Bowl as a special-teamer, but mostly just redshirted last year. He'll likely continue to develop this season behind the established starters they have at the position, but he has a very bright future. This LSU defensive staff is creative enough to use him in different ways to at least get him on the field when he is ready, but that still takes time.

No. 32 – PK Gavin Higgins

Higgins was the No. 7-ranked kicker from Kohl's Kicking Camp, meaning he was one of the top prospects in all of the country. He had a great local high school career, attending Parkview Baptist, where he was both a star kicker and a punter.

The Tigers brought in Scott Starzyk to start, as someone with SEC experience, but Higgins is someone who could eventually push for a starting spot if he continues to develop. 

A Former Player Who Wore No. 32

CB Jalen Collins (2013-2014)

Collins started his college career with the Texas A&M Aggies after being a highly-touted recruit, but he transferred to LSU after being mostly in a rotational role for the Aggies. He was solid for the Tigers and got drafted in the second round in 2015 by the Atlanta Falcons. He stuck around the NFL for a few seasons, also playing in the XFL and CFL. Now, he hosts a popular football podcast called Raw Room.
