Sophomore Jadon Perlotte enters his second season at Tennessee in 2026.
The 6-foot-4, 215-pound linebacker appeared in 13 games, including two starts, as a freshman last season. He recorded 19 tackles, two tackles for a loss, 0.5 sacks and two fumble recoveries.
Perlotte's season high for tackles in a game was six against Illinois in the Music City Bowl. He was named to the 2025 Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll.
The Vols practiced for a third time on Saturday during fall camp ahead of their upcoming season kicking off Sept. 5. Linebackers coach William Inge discussed Perlotte entering his second campaign at Tennessee.
"Just for him to literally take the next step when it comes to his execution and his ability to be consistent," Inge said. "That's the number one thing that we've focused on, because we know that he is a scorpion and that he will bite you, he will strike for sure.
"Now we just have to make sure that it just remains consistent, and he stays on the upward trajectory of being able to be consistent often."
Perlotte is from Buford High School in Buford, Georgia. He committed to Tennessee on Dec. 4, 2024, flipping his commitment from USC during the early signing period.
