The FSU Seminoles have shown a willingness to recruit the state of Louisiana under head coach Mike Norvell. 2027 four-star running back commit Jayden Miles is from Baton Rouge, and they are now going after 2028 running back Noble Williams, who is from Alexandria, Louisiana.

Florida State offered him a scholarship on June 10, and he came to Tallahassee for a camp on June 21 as they quickly emerged as a contender in his recruitment. In fact, On3's Sam Spiegelman believes they could be leading for him, even with the LSU Tigers recruiting him.

"LSU and Florida State are two teams buzzing at the top with Williams, and I give the edge to the Seminoles as his junior season kicks off," he said.

Williams is ranked as the No. 321 overall player and No. 20 running back in the Rivals industry ranking. He is also the No. 6 player from Louisiana, and it is always tough to hold off LSU if they push for the in-state target.

The Seminoles will get another chance to impress him this year when he returns to Tallahassee on Oct. 3 for a visit, according to Spiegleman. FSU will host the Virginia Cavaliers in Doak Campbell Stadium that weekend. He will see LSU on Sept. 5.

Williams was limited to just nine games as a sophomore at Alexandria High School, but was still effective. He rushed for 662 yards and six touchdowns on 123 carries, averaging 5.4 yards per carry. He also caught six passes for 45 yards.
