Colorado lands two potential stars on Senior Bowl Top 300 watch list

Colorado football has two more names to watch when the NFL draft conversation starts heating up later this year.

Wide receiver DeAndre Moore Jr. and defensive back Boo Carter were included in the 2027 Senior Bowl Top 300 watch list released Thursday. The list is an early-preseason snapshot of the country's top draft-eligible prospects, compiled after the Senior Bowl scouting staff evaluated more than 2,000 players.

Moore is coming off three seasons at Texas, where he played in 37 games and finished with 77 catches for 988 yards and 11 touchdowns last season. He had 38 receptions for 532 yards and four scores last season before transferring to Colorado.

The 6-foot, 192-pound receiver has quickly become one of the more important pieces in Brennan Marion's new offense. Moore already has a connection with quarterback Julian Lewis and has a relationship with Marion after being recruited by him at Texas, giving him a chance to become a steady target in the Go-Go system.

Carter brings a lot of versatility to the Buffaloes. The Tennessee transfer can play cornerback, safety or nickel and also has experience returning punts. He earned All-SEC freshman honors in 2024 and led the conference with a 16.5-yard punt-return average that season.

Deion Sanders has already predicted a big future for Carter, calling him a potential first-round pick and saying he could develop into a top-five selection if he stays at Colorado for two seasons.

Neither player has locked in an NFL future. That is not what the Senior Bowl list is meant to do. It is designed to be an early marker, and both Moore and Carter have a full season to move up.
