FSU offers top 10 running back

Florida State has taken its search for running back talent in the 2028 recruiting class to the state of Alabama. They have extended an offer to Zion Coger out of Jasper High School, who is one of the top prospects at his position in the country.

"Blessed to receive an offer from Florida State University!," Coger announced on social media.

FSU is now one of a dozen schools that have offered Coger, and the list is an impressive one. Some of his other top offers have come from the Alabama Crimson Tide, LSU Tigers, Indiana Hoosiers, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Oregon Ducks.

Coger is a four-star recruit who ranks as the No. 131 overall player in the nation and the No. 9 running back according to the 247Sports composite rankings. They also have him ranked as the state of Alabama's No. 8 prospect.

As a sophomore, Coger played in six games. His carries were limited to 23, but he racked up 323 yards, which came out to 14 yards per attempt. He scored six touchdowns as well, and he had one game where he rushed for over 100 yards.

The next step for Florida State is getting Coger on campus for the first time. Ideally for a game visit this season.
