Florida State's football program is looking for any hope that 2026 might be a year to remember, and the floor they're looking to aim for is, at least, a bowl game. There is no clear-cut answer as to whether this team will make it there, but if they do, what bowl game might they end up with?

Brett McMurphy of On3 recently released his projections before Week 0, with a full list of matchups. While this prediction involving FSU is truly to be determined based on their record and their opponent's record, for now, McMurphy sees the Seminoles in the Gasparilla Bowl vs. the South Carolina Gamecocks.

This bowl is one of the very early ones, being hosted in Tampa on Dec. 18, surrounded by games like the Boca Raton Bowl and Myrtle Beach Bowl.

McMurphy predicts ACC rivals Miami to be a part of the College Football Playoff, going as far as the Peach Bowl quarterfinals before the Hurricanes fall to the Georgia Bulldogs. He also sees California, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Clemson, Virginia, Louisville, SMU, NC State, and Pitt making bowl games.

FSU opens its 2026 season against the New Mexico State Aggies on Aug. 29. Fans can catch the game on the CW Network at 7 p.m. ET.
