Lane Kiffin pokes fun at abrupt Ole Miss exit in new Dr. Pepper ad

LSU coach Lane Kiffin poked fun at his latest abrupt exit in a brand new Dr. Pepper "Fansville" commercial.

In the commercial, a fictional sheriff pulls Kiffin over for an "illegal Lane change," which causes the football coach to roll up his window as he's implored that he can't keep doing this.

Of course, this ad parodies Kiffin's nasty habit of leaving schools like Ole Miss and Tennessee abruptly for new opportunities. His latest exit out of Oxford justifiably caused lots of controversy with that team on the cusp of the College Football Playoff.

It's a little surprising to see Kiffin joke about it so soon, but he's also never really shied away from the publicity.

We're assuming this commercial won't go over so well in the state of Mississippi during the college football season.

When do LSU and Ole Miss play?

Kiffin returns to Oxford on Sept. 19 at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
