Bills' Joe Brady impressed by Skyler Bell debut: 'Wasn't too big for him'

Skyler Bell finally made his NFL preseason debut and he picked a good day for it.

The Buffalo Bills used Bell's efforts to spark a comeback win in a 28-27 final against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The fourth-round rookie wide receiver led the way for Buffalo with seven catches for 49 yards along with a 28-yard rush for a second-half touchdown.

After finally getting out on the field, Bell sounded just happy to be there.

"Super important for me, I've been itching to get back," Bell told reporters. "I'm just glad I was able to get some action before the bullets are really flying."

As for head coach Joe Brady, he explained it was all part of the plan to have Bell play deep into this game after he had not gotten any reps earlier on in the preseason. The final review was a positive one for Bell, who is poised to make his regular season debut against the Houston Texans in Week 1.

"It was good, tried to get him involved," Brady said. "It wasn't too big for him."
