Tennessee high school football live updates, scores for TSSAA football games Week 2

The TSSAA football season gets into full gear with Week 2 games on Aug. 28 across the state of Tennessee.

A couple non-region games headline the slate in the Nashville area, including Brentwood Academy hosting Brentwood and East Nashville-Antioch.

In East Tennessee, Maryville travels to West and Halls vs. Gibbs headline the Week 2 schedule.

Among games in Memphis, Houston-Whitehaven and Ridgeway-Southwind stand out.

A handful of Thursday Week 2 games took place across the state. Pearl-Cohn toppled CPA 18-13 on Aug. 27 in a matchup between a 4A school and a DII-AAA program. The Lions are now 0-2 for the season with two out-of-state games to come before a Sept. 18 game at Baylor.

In Knoxville, Catholic doubled up Anderson County 42-21 on Aug. 27.
