Head Coaches: Syracuse: Fran Brown (third year, 13-12) | New Hampshire: Sean Goldrich (first year, 0-1)
Coach Bio: Goldrich was a quarterback for New Hampshire for five years in college. He threw for 7,536 yards and 47 touchdowns in his time with New Hampshire, qualifying for the NCAA FCS tournament during his last four years. Goldrich had training camp stints with the Atlanta Falcons and Chicago Bears before playing pro for two years in the Indoor Football League.
He started his coaching career at his high school alma mater, Notre Dame High School in West Haven, Connecticut. His first Division I coaching job came at Yale as an offensive quality control coach, eventually becoming wide receivers coach. He spent four seasons at Delaware, coaching quarterbacks and eventually becoming passing game coordinator and recruiting coordinator. Goldrich eventually was hired in December of 2025 to become the head coach of New Hampshire.
Last Year: New Hampshire finished the 2025 season as the No. 23 team in FCS, recording an 8-5 record. The Wildcats finished with an 8-5 record and was one of three teams from the CAA to be selected to the NCAA FCS tournament. New Hampshire lost to South Dakota State in the first round. After the season, head coach Ricky Santos left the program to become the head coach at Penn.
Last Game: New Hampshire was limited to just 62 net rushing yards against UAlbany in a week zero game. The Great Danes totaled 431 yards of offense as New Hampshire fell 28-14 in its season opener.
“Fear Me, I’ve Killed Hundreds of Timelords”: Wide receiver transfer Ja’Carree Kelly followed Goldrich from Delaware to New Hampshire. He starred in his first game for the Wildcats, catching six balls for 123 yards and a touchdown.
