Trinidad Chambliss was one of the best stories in college football last season.
Now he has to do it again under completely different circumstances.
Chambliss helped take Ole Miss all the way to the College Football Playoff semifinals last season, establishing himself as one of the most exciting quarterbacks in the country.
But the Ole Miss program around him has changed considerably.
Lane Kiffin is at LSU.
Pete Golding, who took over the Rebels during their playoff run after Kiffin’s departure, now gets an entire season as the head coach.
And perhaps most importantly for Chambliss, Ole Miss has a new offensive coordinator.
That makes Chambliss one of the most fascinating quarterbacks to watch entering 2026.
There won’t be any sneaking up on people this time.
Opposing defenses have an entire season of film on him. Expectations are considerably higher. And Chambliss now has to prove his success wasn’t simply the product of playing in Kiffin’s offense.

If Ole Miss remains a legitimate playoff contender despite losing Kiffin and changing offensive coordinators, we’ll have to start giving Chambliss even more credit for what this program has become.
