The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have not moved in the Associated Press Top 25 poll despite a historic 70-7 blowout win over the Syracuse Orange on Saturday.
It's likely that voters expected Notre Dame to win over a struggling Syracuse — though analysts still say the style points from the big win could impress the College Football Playoff committee.
Back to the AP poll — there was very little movement overall in week 14. The weekend was light on upsets and top 25 matchups — Oregon versus USC was the biggest game on the slate from that perspective. The Ducks won, 42-27, and USC fell three spots.
The only big mover was Georgia Tech, falling by eight spots after losing to Pittsburgh in another AP Top 25 matchup.
Michigan also moved up by three after beating Maryland.
The top five is mostly the same — Ohio State, Indiana, Texas A&M and Georgia remain in the top four, while Oregon moves up one into fifth.
The rest of the top 10 is Ole Miss (down one), Texas Tech (down one), Oklahoma (no change), Notre Dame (no change) and Alabama (no change).
