Wisconsin vs Notre Dame Game Preview:
The Wisconsin Badgers football program has a long history of success, including 22 straight winning seasons from 2002-2023. But for the first time in over 30 years, the Badgers have posted consecutive losing seasons.
Head coach Luke Fickell, entering his fourth year at the helm, has brought in a new starting quarterback. Colton Joseph, a transfer from Old Dominion, finished with 2,624 pass yards, 1,007 rush yards, and 34 total touchdowns (21 pass & 13 rush) last season.
Can Joseph help lead Wisconsin back to winning ways?
The Fighting Irish went 10-2 last season, losing just two games by a combined four points. However, they finished eleventh in the committee’s final rankings, missing the final at-large playoff spot to No. 10 Miami.

The disappointing finish serves as motivation for Notre Dame this season, as they look to win their first national title since 1988.
"It is our responsibility to make sure we leave no doubt, and moving forward, we can't blame it on somebody else," said head coach Marcus Freeman during a January press conference.
Notre Dame is led by Heisman favorite CJ Carr, who enters his second season as Notre Dame's starter. Last year he finished with 2,741 pass yds, 24 pass touchdowns, and six interceptions.
