30 Day Countdown, Day 1: Game-by-Game Results Preview

On Day 9 of this countdown, Collin O’Meara took you back in time to fill out the 2026 roster with one player from Huskies history. I have procured use of Mr. O’Meara’s Delorean, but I’m not looking to the past, I’m headed back… to the future!
If you want to be surprised by each UW game this year, I don’t blame you, but you should stop reading now. The time machine allowed me to see the actual results of each game, down to the final score. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring back a sports almanac from the future for betting purposes, so I can only give you a high-level summary of each result.
UW 38 – WSU 17. The Kirby Moore era gets off to a barely passable start for WSU as Caden Pinnick makes a few big plays against a new look Husky secondary. The Dawgs also pick him off two times and are able to turn things over to the second-string offense for the fourth quarter. UW totals over 200 rushing yards, with Williams, Carr, and Limar each going over 50 yards.
UW 48 – Utah St 14. Week 1 gave the Huskies a solid, definitive victory, but it wasn’t such a beatdown that the Dawgs truly made a statement. In Week 2, they resolved to do exactly that. After focusing on the run game against the Cougs, Williams and Fisch decide to air it out to the tune of four passing TDs, including a pair of TD receptions for Decker DeGraaf.
UW 55 – EWU 10. Not content with the style points accumulated against Utah St., the Dawgs set out to establish themselves as a heavyweight against their cross-state FCS opponent. This year’s Eagles are not one of the best squads they have put together, and the Dawgs made that clear with 38 points in the first half. Roebuck got things started with a long TD catch on the first offensive possession and UW never looked back.
UW 31 – Minnesota 23. The Golden Gophers are the first real test on the schedule. Their ability to run the ball keeps the game close all the way to the end. Tyler Robles makes a FG with under two minutes to play to stretch the lead to 8. Minnesota tries to run a two-minute drill, but Alex McLaughlin picks off a pass deep over the middle to seal the victory.
USC 38 – UW 35. The Huskies get to play four home games in September to open the schedule, but the first road game is a tough one. The defense struggles to get pressure on Jayden Maiava and he paper-cuts them to death with short completions. Williams finally shows up in a big game with over 300 passing yards and 3 TDs, but he also throws an interception and loses a fumble.
UW 24 – Iowa 19. The Huskies quickly bounce back from the loss on the road to USC with a big boy Big 10 win against an Iowa team that physically overpowered them a year ago. Williams has an inconsistent passing game, but rushes for 85 yards and a score, plus keeps the chains moving with 4 first-down conversions on third and fourth downs. Ryan Walters has his most impressive game as DC, giving up only a single offensive TD.
UW 33 – Purdue 21. The game is a little closer than the Huskies would like, but a road win in conference is still a win. Williams returns to form with three passing TDs. Derek Colman-Brusa, Ramzak Freaun, and Jacob Lane terrorize Purde with 4 combined sacks.
UW 30 – Nebraska 24. A lot of you circled this Halloween game as a trap on the schedule, but I’m here to tell you that the Dawgs used their bye week well. Williams continues his improved play against solid defenses and Christian Moss catches his fourth TD of the year.
Penn St 27 – UW 23. Matt Campbell keeps things gritty and close. A defensive touchdown on a scoop-and-score by Rylon Dillard-Allen gives the Dawgs a lead early in the fourth quarter, but Penn St answers with a QB sneak into the endzone on fourth and goal in the last minute.
UW 37 – Michigan St 20. After a couple of heart-in-throat victories, the Dawgs play a complete game on the road against a Spartans team that is still finding its footing. Carr, Cooley, and Lamar each rush for a TD and Freaun runs in sack total on the season to 8 with two more.
Indiana 31 – UW 28. The Dawgs give the defending champs all they can handle at Husky Stadium, but Curt Cignetti’s team is too effective in the end. A Williams TD pass to Rashid Williams in the closing minutes gives UW a chance, but the defense can’t get Indiana off the field, and they run the clock out before UW can answer.
UW 42 – Oregon 40. The crowning achievement for the season and Demond Williams’ UW tenure is a dramatic win over Oregon at Autzen to close out the regular season. In an echo of Grady Gross, Tyler Robles drills a 48-yard FG as time expires to give UW the win in a game where both offenses look CFP-worthy.
There you have it. The Dawgs finish the regular season 9-3, 6-3 in the Big 10, and pull out a thrilling win over Oregon.
