In-state playmaker Peyton Robinson grew up a Michigan fan

Through two weeks of the season, Detroit Cass Tech sophomore Peyton Robinson has been one of the more exciting players in the state of Michigan. That is continued over from summer where he was very good in 7-on-7 and made big plays in the Technicians’ scrimmage.

He was rewarded this Saturday with an offer from Michigan. He had a chance to be in The Big House for the Wolverines’ win over Western Michigan — one of the most talked about games of the weekend.

“The experience and atmosphere of the game was great,” he said. “The coaches, players and fans showed a lot of love and made it a great time for my family and I.”

Robinson said Michigan wide receivers coach Micah Simon extended the offer. Robinson has some other offers but this is a big one for him. Michigan has a long history of recruiting Cass players and Robinson has followed the Wolverines his whole life.

“Growing up, I was always a Michigan fan and have always been around the program with some trainers of mine — Devin Gardner, Terry Richardson and Raymon Taylor,” Robinson said.

Robinson also serves as a return man and cornerback for the 2-0 Technicians.
