50 Cent celebrates Emmy win for ‘Sean Combs: The Reckoning’

50 Cent is celebrating after “Sean Combs: The Reckoning,” the Netflix documentary series he executive produced about Sean “Diddy” Combs, picked up an Emmy Award. The win comes after 50 publicly defended the project as an effort to tell a story about accountability rather than simply attack his longtime rival.
In an Instagram post following the Sept. 5 Creative Arts Emmy ceremony, 50 Cent shared his reaction to the win: “I won a Emmy still think I’m taking a L,” before adding, “GLG GreenLightGang we don’t miss.”
The award, however, did not go directly to 50 Cent. “Sean Combs: The Reckoning” won Outstanding Picture Editing for a Nonfiction Program for the episode “Blink Again,” with the Emmy awarded to supervising editors Charles Divak and Evan Wise, lead editor Jack Gravina, and editors Benji Kast, Adam Goldstein, Jonathan Miller and Jeremy Siefer.
The Television Academy lists the four-part Netflix series with three nominations and one win. Along with the editing victory, the production was nominated for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series and Outstanding Directing for a Documentary/Nonfiction Program.
50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, was among the executive producers nominated in the documentary series category. Director Alexandria Stapleton was also nominated as an executive producer and for directing the episode “Pain Vs Love.”
Released in December 2025, “Sean Combs: The Reckoning” examines Combs’ career, influence, and the allegations surrounding him, including events leading to his 2024 arrest and federal trial. The documentary generated widespread attention and renewed discussion about the long-running tension between 50 Cent and Combs.
50 Cent has previously pushed back against suggestions that the documentary was created simply to capitalize on Combs’ legal problems. He said the project was intended to address stories and allegations that had gone largely unspoken in the entertainment industry.
