‘Get Your Own Stadium,’ ‘You’re Homeless’ — CFB Fans Torch Miami Hurricanes for Mocking FSU’s Power Outage From ‘Rented’ Hard Rock Stadium

College football chaos is back! Florida State was minutes away from kicking off its conference schedule in Week 1, but the power had something to say.
An outage forced a delay of well over an hour, and SMU and Florida State eventually kicked off with most of the technology still out of commission. The Miami Hurricanes trolled their ACC foe for the power outage, but some college football fans had FSU’s back.
CFB Fans Trash Miami Hurricanes for Trolling FSU’s Power Outage
The Hurricanes had a nice win on Friday night and had the opportunity to simply sit back and watch their in-state rival. They loved watching the Noles struggle to turn on the lights and wasted no opportunity to troll FSU.
“The lights are ON at our house. See YOU at Hard Rock on Thursday,” said Miami.
Florida State plays in its own stadium, Doak Campbell Stadium. At its best, it is one of the best atmospheres in college football. Even with the lights out pregame, fans were having their fun waiting for kickoff.
College football fans were quick to point out that Hard Rock Stadium, Miami’s home stadium, isn’t really theirs, but the home of the Miami Dolphins.
“You mean home of the Miami Dolphins, you use a NFL stadium… you’re homeless!” said one fan.
“It’s the Dolphins’ house. You just use it. Get your own stadium,” said one fan.
The Hurricanes rent the stadium from the Dolphins. With that in mind, college football fans aren’t letting Miami get away with calling Hard Rock Stadium their house.

“I mean, is it really your house? Don’t the Dolphins own it?” said one fan.
“This would hit really hard if you actually paid for the lights and not the Dolphins,” said one fan.

One other fan wasn’t ready to bash the Hurricanes because there will be, or at least should be, lights at the game on Thursday.
“Thank you for paying the light bill,” said one Miami fan.
The Hurricanes cruised last week and should dominate on Thursday at Hard Rock Stadium.
Malachi Toney and Darian Mensah look like true-blue Heisman contenders, and these two are going to have their chance to shine brighter than the lights and shut up the fans trolling their program when they go up against Florida A&M in Week 2.
