College football top 25 rankings 2026: AP Top 25 poll released after Week 1

The latest AP Top 25 is out following Week 1 of the 2026 college football season, and it features a lot of shuffling.
The Ohio State Buckeyes are still in the top spot, but they have several teams on their heels, including the Georgia Bulldogs. The Bulldogs are up one spot to No. 2 in the poll, followed by the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Texas Longhorns and Indiana Hoosiers.

Dan Lanning’s Oregon Ducks started at No. 2 in the preseason poll, but have dropped four spots to No. 6. The Miami Hurricanes, LSU Tigers, Ole Miss Rebels and Texas A&M Aggies round out the top 10.
After winning in controversial fashion against the Western Michigan Broncos, the Michigan Wolverines have been voted out of the AP poll. They were ranked No. 16 in the preseason poll.
