The college football world turns its attention to a matchup between top-three ranked teams when No. 3 Texas hosts No. 1 Ohio State in Week 2 with ESPN's "College GameDay" on deck.

It's the second matchup of a home-and-home series that started last season with Ohio State's 14-7 win in a low-scoring affair. Both Julian Sayin and Arch Manning made their debuts as full-time starters in the game, and have both blossomed into two of the best signal-callers in college football since their shaky starts.

Texas, of course, gives ESPN plenty of celebrities and former sports icons to choose from to be the celebrity guest picker. The second-largest school in Texas, the largest state in the continental United States, is not only one of the top public schools in the nation but also one of the most historically impressive in athletics.

Who will the celebrity guest picker be when "College GameDay" visits Austin, Texas? Here's a look at some potential options:

'College GameDay' guest picker predictions for Texas-Ohio State

Matthew McConaughey

Academy Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey is the obvious choice, almost never missing his alma mater's games. The football team's "minister of culture" also teaches a film class at Texas.

McConaughey is already also appearing in the media ahead of Texas-Ohio State, talking to Scott Van Pelt on ESPN's "SportsCenter" on Sept. 7. He already once appeared on "GameDay" back in 2019, but it seems about time for the fan favorite to come back on the show.

Eli and Peyton Manning

Why not invite Arch Manning's Super Bowl-winning uncles? Arch Manning is the latest Manning star in the family of quarterbacks, and Arch is expected to be a first-round pick in the NFL draft like his uncles, too.

ESPN might want to include Arch Manning's dad, Cooper Manning, in the festivities, too — but getting Eli and Peyton Manning, who star in numerous ESPN productions alongside each other, would be a huge hit among fans.

Vince Young

Former Texas star Vince Young led the Longhorns to their most recent national championship in 2005 after scoring one of the most iconic touchdowns in college football history. Young has never been the guest picker on "College GameDay," but he would be a smart choice by the pregame show, given his legendary status in Texas' history.

Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant only spent one season at Texas, but it might've been the school's single-best campaign in program history. The NBA legend has never been shy of boasting his Texas fandom, and he would be a nice get for "College GameDay."

Scottie Scheffler

Scottie Scheffler is the No. 1-ranked golfer in the world, and just so happened to attend Texas. The Texas native might not be the likeliest choice since he appeared on the show in 2024, but he's a very relevant sports icon connected to the school.

Scheffler has 22 career PGA Tour wins, two of which were Masters Tournament victories in 2022 and 2024.
